PTO Stewardship Committee

The PTO Stewardship Committee plans and coordinates “hands-on” service
activities in our community for our 5th-7th grade students.  The service
activities teach our students about service to others, which is the
foundation of our Catholic faith. Through our actions, we are sharing God’s
love with others in their time of need.
Parent volunteers for each grade are needed to coordinate and chaperone
activities.  Parent drivers may also be needed.  Parent Volunteers must
attend an “Honor Thy Child” training and have background checks to
participate. We rely on our parent volunteers for the success of this
program!

This year’s service projects are:
5th Grade:  We will be going to Jefferson Place to interact in fun and
engaging ways with the residents (after school activity; walking chaperones
needed)

6th Grade:  We will be going to St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen to serve
dessert and clean tables during lunch 2x/week (within school hours activity;
drivers/chaperones needed)

7th Grade:  We will be going to Dunn Elementary to tutor/read with children
in the younger grades (after school activity; drivers/chaperones needed)

This is a FANTASTIC way for our middle school students to share their
talents and gifts with others through service. Thank you for your help in
teaching our children about SERVICE TO OTHERS!
