Parish Council and School Board Nominations

Its time to think about new ways to serve the Parish and School

Nominations for service on the St. Albert Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) and the School Board will continue to be accepted through Monday, May 16.  The PPC will be replacing 4 of its 12 members and the School Board will be replacing 3 of its 9 members.   All members serve a three-year term. 
There are two ways to be nominated, either by nominating yourself or being nominated by another person in the Parish.  You can utilize the attached form (click here) and send it in to Laura Graven in the Parish office.   This form will also be available again this weekend in the pews at each of our Masses.   After nominations close on Monday, each nominee will be contacted by the current PPC or School Board to receive an overview of what is involved with serving as part of these two ministries. 
PPC nominees will need to attend one of two non-binding orientation sessions hosted by Father Wayne.  These sessions in Visitation Hall will last about one our and the dates are Saturday morning May 21 at 9:00 a.m or Monday May 23 at 6:00 p.m.  The sessions will provide an overview of the purpose and responsibility of the Parish Council and the role of a selected member.  If you are nominated for the PPC and have a strong desire to serve but cannot make either of the two scheduled sessions, please contact Jess Farber at 228-5065.

All Nominees will have until June 8 to decide to leave their name in the mix or remove it from consideration.  The selection of new members will be made by random draw at the 10:30 Mass on Pentecost Sunday, June 12.
