If you have a current 1st-6th grade student and wish to schedule a half day student shadow visit, contact our school office to set up a day that’s convenient for you.
  • How much does St. Albert the Great School cost?
    Application/Pre-Registration Fee - $200 per student Tuition - Click here to view our tuition rates and fees There are no book or technology fees. Parents are responsible for school supplies and uniforms. Hot lunch- $3.40 (includes drink)
  • What does it mean to be a “parishioner?""
    Parishioner status, for the sake of admission and tuition rates, is established for Roman Catholic families who have fulfilled the following requirements: Official registration in St. Albert the Great Parish and the completion of the current year’s Stewardship Card stating your intentions for time, talent, and treasure.
  • How is tuition paid?
    Tuition can be paid annually or monthly (10 months). Payments are auto drafted from a bank account by FACTS Management Company.
  • Does the school provide financial aid?
    Families with one or more children (Kindergarten-8th grade) enrolled in or applying to St. Albert, can apply for tuition assistance for the upcoming school year. Parish membership is not required to receive tuition assistance. The FACTS Management Company, an independent third party company, processes the applications.
  • Do we have to be Catholic to attend St. Albert?
    St. Albert welcomes all students regardless of background or faith. Non-Catholic students are required to actively participate in religion classes, religious celebrations, and liturgies while attending St. Albert.
  • What time does school start and end?
    The school day starts at 7:50AM with carpool drop off beginning at 7:30AM. The school day concludes at 2:45PM. Part-time preschoolers will end their day at 11:15AM.
  • Do you offer after-school care?
    After-school care is available from 2:45-6:00PM during the school year on days school is in session. There is a separate fee for this program.   • How old does my child have to be to attend school?
    Students entering must meet the following age requirements: - Preschool 3’s – Child must be 3 by August 1st and FULLY toilet trained - Pre-K 4’s – Child must be 4 by August 1st and FULLY toilet trained - Junior Kindergarten – Child must be 5 by August 1st - Kindergarten – Child must be 5 by August 1st - 1st Grade – Child must be 6 by August 1st
  • About the Curriculum
    The curriculum is set by the Archdiocese of Louisville. The curriculum and instruction include sequential and constructive programs of learning in religion, language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, music, art, physical education, foreign language, and technology assisted activities. Instructional delivery focuses on various learning styles, multiple intelligences, and student centered activities.
  • Where do most of your school families reside?
    We are proud of our school community and the fact that we pull from twenty-three different zip codes throughout Louisville. Our diverse demographic adds to the uniqueness of our school!
  • Where do St. Albert students go to high school?
    The majority of St. Albert graduates attend local Catholic high schools – Trinity, St. Xavier, Sacred Heart Academy, Assumption, Mercy Academy, and Presentation Academy. Some students attend local public high schools, many of whom are accepted into gifted/talented, honors, and other accelerated programs.
  • Where do we purchase school uniforms?
    Uniforms may be purchased at Shaheens Department Store on Breckenridge Lane. Many of our uniform items, with the exception of our logo apparel and PE uniform, can also be purchased at popular discount or department stores. We have a social media uniform swap group, as well as several used uniform sales throughout the year where items are sold for $.50-$2.00 each. We do not require our school logo to be on all uniform shirts.
  • Do the students attend Mass?
    K-8 students attend all-school Mass each Thursday at 9:25 AM. The younger students (preschool and junior kindergarten) attend Mass or prayer services several times throughout the year on special holy days & the feast day of St. Albert the Great. Classes take turns offering the Call to Worship, the Mass readings, and presenting the Communion gifts throughout the school year. We invite parents and guests to join us for Mass each week.
  • How large are the classes?
    The average class size for K-8 is 23 students.
